We can supply exhaust sections with a coating of a special ceramic material containing zirconia. This is effective at retaining heat within the exhaust system and therefore reducing the external surface temperature. Because the coating is sprayed on, complex shapes do not present a problem and no special tooling is required. The coating thickness is measured in microns so this method is also ideal for applications with severe space constraints. Maximum temperatures of up to 1300 Centigrade (2372 Fahrenheit) are allowable and contact with water is acceptable.
