We stock composite heatshields which are made by sandwiching a synthetic fibre insert between two layers of aluminised steel. This material is very malleable enabling it to be easily formed and is particularly suitable for intercepting radiant heat emitted from an exhaust.
An ideal application is when it is mounted between the exhaust and an item which needs to be protected (e.g. an electrical item). Alternatively it can be attached directly to the vulnerable unit. Fixing is normally carried out using adhesive or pop rivets.
